We recently gathered in Cardiff for a truly uplifting FGB dinner, where we were privileged to hear from guest speaker Andrew Bowden. It was an evening filled with honesty, inspiration, and a powerful reminder of how lives can be transformed.

Andrew shared his remarkable journey from working deep in the coal mines, surrounded by darkness, to experiencing the life-changing light of God. His story moved from hardship to hope, showing how faith can reshape a life in unexpected and beautiful ways.
One of the highlights was hearing how Andrew rediscovered his passion for painting. After years of leaving his paints untouched, he felt prompted by God to pick up the brush again. What started as a simple painting in Tenby soon turned into something much more. People began asking to buy his work, and through this, God provided for Andrew and his family time and time again.

Andrew also spoke about his journey to faith. Walking into a church meeting unsure of what to expect, only to encounter God in a way that changed everything. Despite early scepticism from others, his faith has remained strong over the years, leading him into ministry and service.
We also heard how God brought healing into his life, including freedom from acute asthma. Which is something that once limited him daily, but now allows him to fully enjoy time with his grandchildren.

Feedback from the evening
“Andrew came to Cardiff to share his testimony with us, what a blessed time we had.”
It was a night full of encouragement, laughter, and reflection. Events like these remind us of the power of testimony and the impact of faith lived out daily. We look forward to many more evenings like this!
