Nick Burne's Testimony
The recent Chippenham February Dinner proved to be a deeply moving and memorable night. Filled with fellowship, prayer and encouragement.
Nick Burne shared his testimony of living for the weekends, and then partying all the way through them. His lifestyle lead to experiencing panic attacks and a deep struggle with emptiness. As well as because of this it landed him in a lot of debt!
Due to an encounter with God Nick’s life was radically transformed! His life and mental health is now full of joy, he’s a husband, father, successful entrepreneur and tech investor. His life was turned around as he shares his story with honesty and humour.
One of our regular members was unable to attend, and sent over some words of knowledge. These words set an expectant tone for the night.
- A sense of someone with a broken heart, someone who has been deeply hurt.
- Words from Psalm 46: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever‑present help in times of trouble, therefore we will not fear.”
- A sense that someone present was going through a particularly rough time.
Ministry Time of Fellowship
A lady in attendance came up at the end to receive prayer as she had been experiencing pain in her elbow. After receiving prayer, she had a reduction of pain in her elbow, which she was delighted about. She reported to have found the evening “amazing” and left feeling truly blessed.
One of the members Ron, spent time praying for Nick the speaker, then Nick prayed for Ron. They both shared the same issue, and it was a good opportunity for them both.
Ron also prayed for one of the waitresses. They have planned to to meet again at the café . She gratefully received an evangelistic tract and a copy of Mark’s Gospel.
Another member Richard ministered to several people throughout the evening, including:
- A lady with knee and heart problems
- A woman deeply troubled by the high number of abortions she had heard reported on the radio
- A man with a back problem and other health concerns
- Another man experiencing relationship difficulties and anxiety
Adam prayed for a gentleman’s son, asking for wisdom and guidance to help him on his journey toward faith.
The evening was filled with compassion, prayer, and meaningful conversations. We are already hearing encouraging stories.
We look forward to sharing more good news from the Chippenham Chapter.
