Hull Dinner with Phil and Stacey Gibbs

Join us for the Hull dinner at the Beverley Golf Club, with guest speakers Phil and Stacey Gibbs.

Phil and Stacey moved to the seaside town of Maplethorpe, where they had visited a few churches but hadn’t fo

und one to settle in. After their daughters told them church was boring, Phil and Stacey Gibbs heard God speak “IF YOU CAN’T FIND IT, BUILD IT!”. The church started in their garden but the church quickly grew and they hired a hall establishing the Overboard Church.

Elim had been looking at planting a church in the area, when they saw what the Overboard Church was doing they wanted to join together. They grew and expanded, initially with a focus on families they also saw a need in the older generation. To further their work with children they support children in Zimbabwe with Kidz2911, and they raise funds through a charity shop. As well as fostering children, including children with SEN needs.

Now they run a lot of different programmes through the church, going where God leads and supporting those who need. They are a fantastically evangelistic  couple.
