Barrie Lawrence is a retired dental surgeon, author, speaker, and bookseller. Through his books and speaking engagements he is widely appreciated for his warm humour, engaging personality, and gift for storytelling. Over the course of his dental career, he encountered a remarkable variety of people and situations. Many of which now form the basis of his much-loved, often laugh-out-loud anecdotes.

From lost dentures to unexpected moments in the dental chair, Barrie has a unique ability to find humour in the everyday and help others do the same.

Beyond dentistry, Barrie is also a passionate writer whose work spans both light-hearted and deeply meaningful themes. His humorous books capture the quirks and characters of life, while his Christian writing reflects a personal journey that began with scepticism and led to a life-changing faith. Once openly atheistic, a simple conversation challenged his thinking and set him on a path of discovery that continues to shape his life and message today.
