Bath Men’s Breakfast – Former Mayor of Bristol shares is real life story!
Marvin Rees, Baron Rees of Easton OBE is a Labour Party politician and served as Mayor of Bristol from 2016 to 2024. Marvin has had a varied career including being a freelance journalist and radio presenter at the BBC. Prior to that Communications and Events Manager, Programme Manager at Public Health Bristol. As well as an outreach assistant at Sojourners Community and Youth Coordinator at Tearfund.
Marvin was the founder and programme leader at the Bristol Leadership Programme, helping people from impoverished backgrounds to attain their aspirations. A former Director at Bristol Partnership focusing on reducing health and wealth inequality and building stronger and safer communities.
Throughout his life Marvin has used his faith and beliefs to impact real change and fight for people all of all backgrounds. Come and hear his inspirational story, leave feeling empowered.
