Halifax/Bradford Dinner with Isaac Ohonba

Join us at Queensbury Golf Club for delicious food and listen the moving story of Isaac. Where he’ll explain the journey he went through to finding peace and contentment.

Isaac had grown up being very shy and had a stammer when speaking in public. However, after attending an FGB convention Isaac had an life changing encounter with God. It left him with a new confidence and removed the fear he’d always had. He became confident in speaking in front of people, sharing what God had done for him.

He didn’t fully commit his life to God though and kept being pulled back into drinking and partying. More of his friends around him became Christians, their lives were filled with a peace and contentment. Isaac began to desire to have the lives they had to also feel that peace and contentment. He felt hopeless and confused not knowing what to do. A friend said something that made him rethink the way he was living

“God does not expect us to change ourselves before coming to him. He wants us to come to him just as we are, and he will then change us!”

Isaac made a new commitment to God with his whole heart and his life changed dramatically. As a Doctor following his encounter with God, he had a deeper empathy and compassion for his patients. He also met a Christian young lady from Nigeria, they got married and she has remained his loving wife and friend through all the challenges of life.
