Tribute to Bob Boler – a much loved director and founder of FGB-UK

Bob went to be with the Lord on the evening of Tuesday 21st March after having a stroke a few hours earlier. His sons were with him at the end as he passed to be with Jesus.

Tribute to Bob Boler (04/12/1933 – 21/03/2023) from Stuart Cripps

“Bob will be greatly missed by his family, friends and FGB brothers.  His family shared that “he was a wonderful person, a man of God who loved Jesus very much.  He had great wisdom and kindness, and his life has enriched a very great many people.  But we are glad he is now reunited with mum in Paradise, where they will both be greatly rejoicing in God’s love.”

I have known Bob since the early seventies as a work colleague, Christian friend (and mentor !), Bible teacher and of course as a founding member of FGB in the UK, and FGB Office Manager for many years. He played, as I am sure you know, a vital role in the development of FGB, with his experience and spiritual wisdom often relied on by the FGB National Council of Directors.

He was indeed a lovely man, with time and encouragement for any that needed it. I am sure he would have been greeted by the Lord on Tuesday with the words “Well done my good and faithful servant”.”
